about me
Hello! My name is Corie, I'm from Hong Kong, and I've been writing since 2022. I have three cats, and a tetr.io addiction. Writing is my passion, and I look to create meaningful pieces, or polish my skills alongside a team of people with similar goals.I'm online pretty frequently, and my dms are open all the time. Ping or dm me if you need me, but try to look through my profile, and see if there are any questions that can be answered by this carrd before asking.
| Won't be working with.. | Projects that preach, promote or reinforce hateful ideologies. Projects with unreasonable expectations or working conditions. Unwelcoming work environments. Projects with NSFW elements. |
| Preferred | I look for dedicated but understanding teams with similar goals of self-improvement, and at least some direction for the project with promising progress. Most importantly, I look for teams that genuinely see value in having a writer in their midst! |
| Extra notes | My availability fluctuates, and I prefer to remain focused on one task; If I'm already working on one project, I'm likely to turn down other offers. |
| Skills | I specialise in world-building for lore-heavy projects, like that of the sci-fi or fantasy genre, as well as script-writing and story-writing. Aside from narrative design, I also dabble in digital art on procreate, as well as basic music composition on musescore, making all-roundedness a core strength of mine. I work hard, and I'm a fast learner in professional work environments. |
| Future goals | I hope to strengthen my digital art and game development skills over the span of multiple projects as well as produce more pieces for my writing and art portfolio. At present, I'm learning game development on Godot, and experimenting on aseprite with pixel art. |
| Weaknesses | Although I've been consistently writing for the past three years, I lack extensive experience working in a team, as I've mostly been working alone on my projects. |
| About my work | My work (writing or otherwise) is designed to evoke emotion more than anything. When given free rein, I tend to lean towards more convoluted storylines that portray complicated emotions, as well as dark themes and sad endings. |
